It PRESENTS A process for recovering dimethyl terephthalate (DMT). The process includes the steps of: a) providing a stream of DMT, DMT INCLUDES CURRENT DMT, catalyst, and ethylene glycol; B) ADD SOLVENT TO CURRENT DMT, solvent immiscible with water SERA AND miscible with DMT; C) adding water to the DMT CURRENT; YD) form two phases, the first phase of solvent and DMT, and a second water phase, ethylene glycol and catalyst.
