Development of Single-Transistor Amplifier Modular Laboratory Kits for Electronic Engineering Education

2020
Transistor amplifier laboratory kits have been developed and implemented for electronic engineering education. Each of the two laboratory kits contains two single-stage amplifier circuits that are constructed using discrete components. The object of study is the AC behavior of the two basic amplifier configurations with single BJT and MOSFET. In particular, for the development of the kits on separate printed circuit board common-emitter (CE), common-source (CS), common-collector (CC) and common drain (CD) amplifiers are implemented. The modularity concept introduced in this laboratory kits allows the student to perform an additional task by configuring the electronic systems to change the DC operating point of the transistors through the voltage divider of the input network or change of the load type (active or active-capacitive). The proposed laboratory kits are intended for second-year students on the Bachelor degree program of “Electronics” at the Technical University of Sofia.
