Risk factors of cytomegalovirus pneumonia in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome after renal transplantation

2013
OBJECTIVE To study and analyze factors that may lead to cytomegalovirus(CMV)pneumonia in the patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)after the renal transplantation and explore the prevention measures of the syndrome.METHODS A total of 88patients with CMV pneumonia, who received the renal transplantation in the hospital from Jun 2006to May 2012,were retrospectively analyzed,of which 34cases with secondary ARDS after the treatment were chosen as the study group, and the rest of 54cases as the control group, the clinical difference was explored, the factors that may lead to the CMV pneumonia in the ARDS patients after the renal transplantation were studied, and the effective prevention measures were put forward.RESULTS Of totally 88cases of patients complicated with CMV pneumonia after the renal transplantation,34 cases remained the secondary ARDS after the treatment with the incidence rate of 38.6%.The difference in the time of onset of CMV after kidney transplantation, the measures to control blood sugar, the occurrence of immune rejection, lung infiltration,or early drug treatment between the two groups was statistically significant(P0.05).The time of onset of CMV after kidney transplantation, diabetes, immune rejection, and pulmonary infiltration were the risk factors(OR1),and the control of blood sugar and the early drug treatment were the favorable factors(OR1).CONCLUSIONIt is an effective way to closely monitoring the risk factors that may lead to the ARDS in the CMV pneumonia patients after the renal transplantation, focus on the control of blood sugar, and perform the early and effective drug treatment so as to reduce the incidence of ARDS and promote the rehabilitation of the patients.
