Case Study and Solution of the Motor Soft Starter Dispute in Debugging

At Guandi hydropower station,Zhuziba aggregate production system is constructed by Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8 under General Contract to manage the design and construction of the power supply of the crushing equipment.However,the soft starter of the crushing equipment is purchased by the Owner from Metso Corporation which is responsible for the shaping design,installation and trial run.Rare fault phenomenon occurred in the debugging process,and caused disputes for more than two months between Metso Corporation and Sinohydro Engineering Bureau 8.In this paper,the cause of fault is analyzed carefully and the detailed solutions are proposed.Therefore,an in-depth reconsideration on the project construction and management is made to give reference to other projects.
