A carbon fiber reinforced PEEK composite thermoforming method

2015
The present invention provides a method of forming the carbon fiber composite sheet pressing polyether ether ketone reinforced. The present process is peeled off from the heating unit out of a hydraulic press, the mold is heated using a heat pipe to achieve high temperature hot function; by thermoforming in a vacuum environment, significantly reduce the bubble content in the resin to improve the surface finish and parts of the specimen performance; a cooling unit disposed in the mold, the cooling rate is adjusted by adjusting the flow rate and temperature of the high-pressure cold air, in order to control the crystallinity of the matrix resin, flexible choice between high strength and high toughness. Using the method of compression molding carbon fiber reinforced PEEK composite sheet, simple production equipment, to solve a high melting point material having a large internal porosity high viscosity polyether ether ketone resin production process, the resin impregnated fibers is insufficient, the performance of the sample lack of long molding cycle and other issues.
