Correlation Analyses between Snow-cover and Summer Precipitation in Northeast of China

The snow cover data in northeast China during 2000-2005 winter is obtained from Terra MODIS data in this study.The characteristics in winter in northeastern China are analyzed from the snow-cover data set.It is studied the changes of cold mass in 2000-2005 winter and the snowmelt in next spring,it can be validated for the climate response.Correlation between snow cover in winter in northeast China and precipitation in Jilin City in next summer is studied and can be summarized as follows: a significant negative correlation exists between the winter snow cover and the next summer precipitation.
