REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE NUR AS A CARRIER OF TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT FOR UNDERWATER TASKS

The exploitation of ocean resources creates the necessity to build sophisticated systems intended to support underwater tasks. The Technology Department of the Ship Research Institute, Szczecin has undertaken the NUR ROV project. The NUR can be used as an inspection vehicle working by itself, a carrier of tools and equipment for divers or as a unit supplying power to them. The paper contains details of the ROV system configuration, characteristics and applications, and of the requirements for the mother ship.
