Background: A growing literature has emerged in recent years that evaluates combined health effects of environmental exposures and social stressors. To identify and incorporate the potential impacts of such joint exposures is critical in cumulative risk assessment and impact studies, but creates analytical challenges. A review of cumulative risk and impacts modeling techniques on environmental/chemical and social stressors can provide useful modeling reference for the progression of future cumulative risk and impact studies.Methods: We conducted a review to identify the types of statistical models utilized in cumulative risk and impact modeling in environmental health studies.
