Beamforming in Smart Antenna with Multiple Interferers using Leaky LMS and Variable Step Size Leaky LMS

2018
In today’s cellular network, adaptive smart antenna plays an important role. Desired beamforming can be achieved by directing main beam toward user and null toward interferer. In this paper, leaky least mean square (LLMS) and variable step size leaky least mean square (VSLLMS) are used for adaptive beamforming in smart antenna. A comparative study between the algorithms is done based on accuracy of produced main beam direction, null direction, maximum side lobe level (SLLmax) and rate of convergence for different SNR.
