La prevención de la malaria alrededor del mundo:: Revisión bibliográfica.

espanolLa malaria importada ha emergido con fuerza en el mundo occidental, Cataluna y Madrid son las comunidades autonomas con mas prevalencia de todo el estado espanol. La malaria o paludismo es la enfermedad parasitaria mas importante que existe. La transmision de esta se da a mas de 100 paises de Africa, Asia y America Latina, tambien en ciertas islas del Caribe y del Pacifico. Es la responsable de mas de un millon de muertos cada ano (3.000 cada dia). Objetivo: Conocer la evidencia existente de la prevencion de la malaria alrededor del mundo. Metodologia: Se ha realizado una busqueda bibliografica entre diciembre de 2013 y enero de 2014, en las bases de datos: MEDLINE PubMed, Biblioteca Cochrane Plus, CUIDEN, CINAHL ( Internacional), SCOPUS (Internacional) y SCIELO (Iberoamericana ), utilizando los siguientes terminos MESH y operadores booleanos: [Prevention and control OR Health education ] AND [malaria] AND [nursing primary care OR nursing prevention]; con el objetivo de conocer la evidencia existente de la prevencion de la malaria alrededor del mundo. Resultados y conclusiones: Una vez analizados los 11 articulos seleccionados, se observa que alrededor del mundo se utilizan diversos modelos de promocion de la salud y prevencion de la enfermedad, siendo la base de estos la educacion para la salud. Se utilizan campanas para concienciar la poblacion de la importancia de la malaria asi como divulgacion de informacion, clases practicas de colocacion de mosquiteras; romper los falsos mitos, en fatizando en concienciar que es la malaria y como se transmite; tambien politicas de actuacion, estudiando el conocimiento de la poblacion acerca de la enfermedad y la relacion directa con la incidencia y prevalencia de esta. Malaria or paludism is the most important parasitic disease that exists. Malaria transmission occurs in more than 100 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, also in certain Caribbean and Pacific islands. It is responsible for over one million deaths every year (3, 000 every day). Objective: To know the evidence of the prevention of malaria around the world. Methodology: It has conducted a literature search between December 2013 and January 2014, in the databases: MEDLINE PubMed, Biblioteca Cochrane Plus, CUIDEN, CINAHL (International), SCOPUS (International) and SCIELO (Iberoamericana), using the following MESH terms and Boolean operators: [Prevention and control OR Health education] AND [malaria] AND [nursing primary care OR nursing prevention]; with the goal to know the evidence of the prevention of malaria in all over the world. Results and conclusions: Having analyzed the 11 articles selected, it is observed that in all over the world are used several models of health promotion and disease prevention, being the basis of these the health education. They ar e used awareness campaigns in malaria disease for the population: information disclosure, pr actical classes for the placement of the nets; breaking false myths, emphasizing awareness of what is and how malaria is transmitted; also doing political acts, studying the knowl- edge of the population about the disease and the direct relationship with the incidence and prevalence of this.
