Die aus dem Oxa-azabicyclo[3,3,1]nonan 4 darstellbaren Aminonitrile 6a und 6b reagierten mit Phenylmagnesiumbromid stereoselektiv zum 9-Phenyl-9-piperidino-bicyclononan 7, bei dem zwar eine bemerkenswerte Opiatrezeptoraffinitat gefunden wurde, analgetische Eigenschaften jedoch nicht feststellbar waren.
