Photoproduction of ϱ0, ω and ϱ− mesons on deuterons at energies between 1 and 5 GeV☆

Abstract The reactions γ d → ϱ 0 d, γ d → ω d and γ n → ϱ − p have been investigated in a deuterium bubble chamber experiment at DESY with a bremsstrahlung beam of 5.5 GeV maximum energy. Effective mass distributions as well as total and differential cross sections are presented. The results are compared with ϱ 0 and ω production on protons.
