白浜海洋観測塔における波浪の研究(I) ―台風6420号に伴った波浪について―

This is the report of the wave records obtaind at Shirahama Oceanographic TowerStation caused by Typhoon 6420 (WILDA). We analyse these wave records in power spectra.The most interesting fact is that the waves which are coming from the region of the typhooninclude two sharp frequency bands. The position of the first peak of lower frequency bandseems to depend on the depth of the central pressure of typhoon, and that of the second peakof higher frequency band on the speed of the movement of typhoon.
