Evaluación de insecticidas para el control del psílido asiático de los cítricos (Diaphorina citri) Kuwayama (Hemíptera: Liviidae) en sus diferentes estados biológicos, en limón persa.

2013
In the present research, six commercial formulations of pesticides were evaluated to control different biological stages of Diaphorina citri (Kuwayama) in Persian lime under greenhouse and laboratory conditions. The evaluated pesticides were Imidacloprid + Betacyflutrin, Spirotetramat, Imidacloprid, Thiametoxam + Lambda cyalotrina, Imidacloprid + Lambda cyalotrina, paraffinic oil and a control treatment. Some specimens of D. citri were reared in January 2012 in Persian lime trees without previous sprayings for over a year and then used for the research purposes. Three variables were evaluated: the pesticide toxicity in eggs, nymphs and adult insects. The experimental design was completely randomized with 10 repetitions for each treatment, the collected data were subjected to an analysis of variance (ANOVA) procedure and the means separation by the test of Tukey (α=0.05) in the Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software v. 9.1.3. It was observed that the paraffinic oil causes eggs mortality; however the Imidacloprid treatment delayed the eggs hatching compared with the rest of the treatments. The nymphs were susceptible to the six treatments, but mostly to imidacloprid and the combination of imidacloprid + Betacyflutrin. Regarding to the adult insects, the mortality rate was higher than the observed in nymphs. In different dates after the spraying, the mortality rate was 100% for both biological stages.
