A Comparative Study of Web-Based College English Teaching and Learning Reform

Along with College English educational reform,web-based autonomous learning pattern obtains universal utilization and promotion in English teaching.This research is an empirical study on using reciprocal web-based teaching and learning in Language Labs.By means of questionnaire,test and interview,an investigation and a comparative analysis of the experiment classes and control classes were conducted.Prior to the experiment,the two groups were at the same English proficiency and autonomous learning.The findings indicate that the two groups significantly vary in both autonomous learning and grades in tests,indicationg that the reciprocal web-based teaching and learning in Language Lab helps the improvement of learners' autonomy and their English proficiency.
