Serial/parallel converter

1991
PURPOSE: To obtain a serial/parallel converter for a reduced surface by constituting matrix cells arrayed like a triangle as an array of constitution corresponding to the holding of a square matrix along a diagonal line. CONSTITUTION: The serial/parallel(S/P) converter for a reduced surface can allow a pass of bits supplied to an input E4 e.g. to flow. In a 1st operation cycle, these bits are passed through registers 30 to 37 so as to be continuously supplied to an output S4. In a succeeding operation cycle, continuous bits to be supplied to the input E4 are allowed to flow to the output S4 through registers 74, 64, 54, 44, 34, 24, 14, 04. When the array is used, one row is used for input, one column is used for output, respective input terminals are connected to two adjacent columns and respective output terminals are connected to two adjacent rows. Consequently the S/P converter capable of improving the processing of serial data in a state of a continuous 2-bit unit on a reduced surface can be obtained.
