Resonant absorption of shear instabilities in flow systems with energy dissipation

It is shown that hydrodynamic and electrohydrodynamic waves excited in two-layer dissipative systems due to shear instabilities experience resonant absorption of two types: at the rotational frequency of particles of the medium and the frequency of their collision with the lattice.
