2011
From the view of enterprises, the paper makes an empirical study on influencing factors of industry-university-institute cooperation behavior and its modes selection.Using logistic regression model based on the data collected from the questionnaires of 229 innovational enterprises in Jiangsu Province, our results suggest that:(1) industry-university-institute cooperation behavior is not significantly influenced by enterprises' RD input capacity, but directly explained by RD absorptive capacity and the extent of government policy support;(2) industry-university-institute cooperation mode selection is significantly influenced by the extent of cooperation and government policy support.High-tech enterprises funded by the government which have long-term cooperation partners are inclined to cooperate through more interactive modes, while those have more short-term cooperation partners and enjoy preferential revenue rates are inclined to adopt less interactive cooperation modes;(3) The affect of sector is concentrated in pharmaceutical and computer software industries. And firm size is not a significant explaining variable.According to the revelatory conclusions from the results above, some essential views and recommendations are offered.
