Simulación de un absorbedor pasivo de vibraciones a un modelo reducido de una plataforma en alta mar

2021
In this work, a passive control system is proposed to attenuate vibrations on an offshore platform using a tuned mass damper (TMD). The behavior of the proposed control is analyzed by simulations of the structure without and with the vibration absorber, which clearly shows advantages in risk reduction of structural fracture. The proposed model is based on a non-linear system which, including some hypotheses, manages to become a linear control method. The mathematical equations of the system are formulated using the Euler–Lagrange method and are validated with Newton's Second Law. Once the parameters, such as masses, damping coefficients and others, are defined, the behavior of the system is successfully simulated considering a disturbance defined for its analysis. Then, other disturbances are added to the platform obtained model and the control method is applied to two new platforms. In this way, the proposed control method demonstrates its effectiveness in offshore platforms.
