Phenanthroline complexes of neodymium and yttrium nitrates

Complexes of neodymium and yttrium nitrates with phenanthroline were synthesized. The composition of the compounds, M(NO 3 ) 3 2C 1 2 H 8 N 2 , was determined by elemental analyses. X-ray powder diffraction shows that the compounds are isostructural. The study of the thermal stability of the complexes by thermogravimetric analysis confirmed their identity.
