Influence of atomic power plant operating regime on selection of turbine-unit parameters

A description is given of a mathematical model for a steam-turbine unit that makes it possible to take into account off-nominal operating regimes. The way in which the basic characteristics of an atomic power plant steam-turbine unit depend on the size of the load are shown. The need to take into account partial-load characteristics in optimization of parameters and configuration of steam-turbine units intended for service with long-term and heavy unloading is demonstrated.
