Upgrading of agricultural and agro-industrial wastes: The treatment of distillery effluents (vinasses) in Italy

Abstract The chemical composition, Italian market availability and main problems concerned in the utilisation and/or the disposal of distillery effluents are reported. Some hypotheses for the utilisation of vinasses in feed formulation are reviewed.
