The invention relates to an orthopedic device for the orthotic or prosthetic restoration of a patient with • a knee joint (10) having a proximal upper part (11) and a pivotally arranged thereon distal part (13), • an ankle joint (20), • a distally at the ankle joint (20) fastened pivotable foot portion (23), and • arranged between one of the ankle joint (20) and the knee joint (10), the lower leg part (14), wherein the upper part (11) of the knee joint (10) or an attached upper leg part, which can be fixed to the body of the patient to the foot part (23) via a power transmission means (3; 30, 31, 32, 35; 40, 41, 42 is coupled), which causes a plantar flexion of the foot part (23) at a knee flexion.
