L'Union interparlementaire et les ressources naturelles: Rapport d'Ensemble d'après les documents officiels de l'union (suite)

1969
Abstract The concern which the Inter-Parliamentary Union shows for the conservation of Nature and natural resources is relatively recent; for it was only in 1967 , at a meeting in Palma de Mallorca, that the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Committee of the IPU placed this subject on its agenda for the first time. The ‘Conservation of Nature’ was discussed again by this Committee at a meeting in Dakar, Senegal, in the spring of 1968 . Summaries of the memoirs which were submitted to the Educational, Scientific and Cultural Committee, on the occasion of these two meetings, have been published in Biological Conservation (vol. 1 (2) , pp. 135–131, 1969 . The present article, which completes this report, contains summaries of the discussions of the Committee in question at its meeting in Dakar and the results of the work of the ancillary Special Committee for the Conservation of Nature both at Dakar and subsequently at Bonn in November 1968 .
