Clinical management of concurrent vaginal and rectal prolapse in a buffalo.

2014
The present communication describes management of a buffalo with severe straining, vaginal prolapse with a secondary rectal prolapse. Animal was found to 9th month pregnant. After preliminary cleaning and lubrication of both masses they were retracted into their respective cavities and to prevent recurrence of prolapse, buhner's suture was applied to vulva. On the 8th day sutures were removed and animal was carefully monitored for 10 days post operation and a male calf was born nearly one month after operation.
