Measures of ageing in senile dementia of Alzheimer type and in controls

Patients suffering from senile dementia of Alzheimer type, elderly patients suffering from functional psychiatric illness and younger functionally ill patients were tested using a battery of ageing measures. Although the younger group was clearly different from the older groups, there was no statistically significant difference in measures of ageing between the demented and non-demented elderly groups.
