Segmental catenary method of calculating the cable curve of suspension bridge

According to mechanics characteristics of suspension bridge,an exact method of calculating the cable curve of suspension bridge is developed ,which is segmental catenary method. This proposed method uses mathematic expressions and iterations to solve the problem, and it is a reliable and accurate method. According to the condition of force equilibrium and the condition of deformation compatibility, it determines every part of cable forces and curve shapes without the hypothesis errors such as the finite element method, custom parabola method and the catenaries method, so it includes automatically all nonlinearities of catenary curve. 
