The invention discloses a novel urban rail bogie design method. Independent rotating wheels, derailing prevention steel plates, a stone sweeper, a shock absorber, a braking device, a transmission device, auxiliary climbing rubber wheels, a welding framework, shaft boxes, air springs, two-system hanging springs and the like are involved. According to the novel urban rail bogie design method, the independent rotating wheels generate a differential speed, so that abrasion between light rails is relieved when the light rails pass through a curve; the rubber wheels driven by power are mounted; the climbing capacity of the light rails is improved by using the friction force between the rubber wheels and a cement ground; furthermore, the derailing prevention steel plates mounted on the inner sides of steel wheels are used for restraining the transverse movement of the bogie; the stone sweeper which is mounted on an end beam, is positioned at the front edges of the steel wheels and forms a certain angle with a rail can be used for clearing away foreign matters on the rail surface, so that the safe and high-efficiency running of the light rails is guaranteed.
