A CUDA-Based Real-Time Software GNSS IF Signal Simulator
2012
Software GNSS IF signal simulator is used to verify the algorithms of GNSS receiver, and provide a test platform for the study of compatibility and interoperability of BeiDou/GNSS Systems, compared with hardware signal simulator, it has the advantages of design flexibility. However, general CPU can not provide the computing capability of high signal sampling rate. In recent years, GPU has played an increasingly important role in the field of parallel computing, this paper proposes a parallel algorithm based on each sample using NVIDIA’s CUDA computing architecture, the algorithm can achieve a significant speedup compared to the parallel implantation based on CPU, the sample rate can reach to hundreds of megabytes. The simulator has been proved functional by the general GNSS receiver.
