Study on the preparation and modification of chalcogenide MoS2

Two-dimensional material MoS2 is another research hotspot following the layered compound graphene. MoS2 has the advantages of low cost, non-toxicity, large specific surface area, high reaction activity and good photocatalytic effect. In this paper, the preparation methods of MoS2 are reviewed. They are mainly divided into top-down method, bottom-up method and the modification methods including morphology control, co-catalyst combination, non-metallic or metal doping, phase transition and crystal shape adjustment adopted by researchers to solve the problems of MoS2 which is easy to accumulate and the high composite ratio of photogenerated electrons and holes.
