Fuel supply system for a gas-powered internal combustion engine

2008
There are already fuel supply systems for gas-fueled internal combustion engine, with a gas conduit and a heatable by a heater heat transfer section of the gas line. A disadvantage is that the heating of the heat transfer section of the gas line is not yet or not yet fully effective immediately after a cold start of the engine. This damage to the gas-carrying components may arise. In the inventive fuel supply system of an effective immediately after a cold start of the internal combustion engine heating is provided by a simple heat storage is formed on the heat transfer section, to write to the cooled gas heat energy. According to the invention it is provided that the heat transfer portion (12) is surrounded the gas line (5) by an outer jacket (15) such that a heat transfer chamber (16) is formed between the outer casing (15) and the heat transfer portion (12).
