Manejo y Tratamiento de Lixiviados en Rellenos Sanitarios: Revisión bibliográfica y Experiencia en Planta de Tratamiento de Lixiviados de Navarro

2019
Sanitary landfills are currently the most widely used method of final disposal of municipal solid waste throughout the world. However, this form of final disposal results in leachates from municipal landfills, which are highly polluting with high concentrations of organic and inorganic compounds and with their occasional concentration of heavy metals, which makes their physicochemical characterization necessary in order to determine the most optimal way to treat them. This bibliographic review shows the conventional ways of treating leachates produced in landfills, presents several plants worldwide, local and their treatment systems. Finally, it shows the experience of the Navarro Leachate Treatment Plant Located in the City of Santiago de Cali, its treatment system and its collection, conduction and distribution subsystems.
