Rhabdomyosarcoma of the urinary bladder in an elderly patient.

A pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma arising in the left side of the trigone of the urinary bladder in a 68 year old woman is reported. The prognosis for survival was very poor, owing to the tumor's extremely agressive clinical course. After resection, the tumor recurred locally. General and local conditions did not allow any adjuvant treatment. The patient died of disease four months later.
