Sinterability of Silicon Nitride Powders and Characterisation of Sintered Materials

Seventeen different silicon nitride powders which are commercially available are characterised from the point of view of chemical and physical properties. Their densification behaviour with MgY2O4 as sintering aid is compared in the case of pressureless sintering and hot pressing.
