Progress in Cerenkov luminescence imaging

2012
As a new molecular imaging,Cerenkov luminescence imaging (CLI) is based on Cerenkov radiation which is produced when a charged particle released from radionuclide travels in a medium with a velocity faster than the light speed in that medium. The single intensity of CLI is related with the radioactivity and it is also correlated with the signal information from SPECT or PET imaging.A new multimodality combining CLI and SPECT or PET is feasible using single radionuclide labeled probe.
