Early neonatalmortality (ENM) isoneof components of perinatal mortality. ENM is smaller than fetal mortality. Aim of this investigation is to analyze if lower counts of perinatal mortality in last years in Croatia are underestimated, and to find possible excess ofmortality of liveborn infants from perinatal causes later in the course of initial treatment. Materials and methods Perinatal report data are collected from all hospitals in the country, and analyzed the proportion of liveborns who died according to the age at death.
