Proposal of an Isolated Two-Switch DC-DC SEPIC Converter

2019
The theoretical analysis and numerical simulations of a novel dc-dc converter conceived from SEPIC topology are presented in this paper. In this proposed converter, the voltage stress on switches and diodes is lower than a conventional SEPIC converter, when the same input and output voltage levels are considered. The proposed structure can be employed in applications with higher input voltage and high output current, once its output is connected in parallel. The paper approaches the topological stages, static analysis from DCM, design equations, and a comparative analysis. Furthermore, to evaluate the performance of the proposed topology is realized an open-loop numerical simulation for a 500 W rated power, with 120 V output voltage, 400 V input voltage and switching frequency of 50 kHz.
