On Social Reconstruction of Contemporary Concept of Subject

2005
That subjectivity is a basic idea in Marxist philosophy is questionable and needs to be analyzed. Marx had questioned the internal tendency of contemporary theory of subject and the idea of considering the subject as having grown up from inside. He advocated a re-analysis of the construct and operation of subject against a social background. In his opinion, analyses of the social world and of the subject were closely related, with the subject associated with a practical population it belonged to. The contribution of Marx in this respect, the author points out, lies in the fact that this concept still performs the function of promoting maturity of the rational and paving the way for an ideal objective, and the function of establishing social objectives. The author suggests that the concept of subject has resulted from combination of the rational ego and the internal ego. The adjustment and change Marx made to the contemporary concept of subject had re-established its social foundation. What is more, he introduced the idea of heterogeneity to this concept, expressing concerns with different groupsubject.
