Student nurses' thoughts on communicating with cancer patients 50%

Aim of study: to investigate student nurses' thoughts on communicating with cancer patients. Outcomes: to determine how prepared student nurses feel when communicating with cancer patients from a theoretical standpoint and to determine how supported student nurses feel in practice when communicating with cancer patients. A qualitative study utilising a focus group to explore thoughts on communicating with cancer patients. A convenience sample of student nurses who have worked with cancer patients and completed a preregistration module in cancer care. Data was collected using taped interviews and content analyses following Colaizzi's procedural steps.
