The invention relates to a method for casual inspection of impurities of hydrogen storage alloy powder. The method is characterized in that casual inspection is performed at the charging inlet and the feed inlet of a container for containing hydrogen storage alloy powder and the feed inlet of a material mixer. In the packaging process of the hydrogen storage alloy powder, casual inspection of impurities is performed for at least three times. According to the invention, the method for casual inspection of impurities of hydrogen storage alloy powder can be quantified, standardized and systematized, so that the accuracy on the casual inspection of impurities of hydrogen storage alloy powder is improved. Each batch of hydrogen storage alloy powder is ensured to be clean and free from impurities, and meanwhile, the electrochemical properties of the hydrogen storage alloy powder are further ensured.
