Isolation and characterization of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants sensitive to boron deficiency

2001
We have isolated several Arabidopsis thaliana mutants that are sensitive to boron deficiency. In this study, a newly identified mutant line, 7A, is described. In 7A mutant plants, root and shoot growth were more sensitive to B deficiency compared to the wild type plants. B concentrations in shoots of the mutant line were similar to those in the wild type plants. Genetic analysis suggested that the mutant carries a new single semi-dominant mutation.
