A Review Study on Adsorptive Removal of Pharmaceutical from Wastewater Using Different Types of Nanoadsorbents

2020
Water contamination due to the pharmaceuticals is one of the most critical issues facing the world due to an increase in population growth. Pharmaceuticals have been detected in ground and surface water, drinking water, tap water, ocean water, sediments and soil. It is very difficult to remove the drugs from the waste water by using conventional waste water treatment methods. Drugs can cause many adverse effects as skin irritation, cancer, mutation, etc. A number of techniques are being used to remove these types of contaminants among that adsorption is very popular.. A phenomena of accumulation of substances on the surface of solid by some physical or chemical process than into the bulk is known as adsorption.
