Intelligent shutdown method for television

The invention provides an intelligent shutdown method for a television. The method comprises the steps as follows: starting a first timer while the system time of the television reaches a preset time; judging whether any control signal of a remote control is received or not in a timing time of the first timer; entering into a standby ready condition, turning down the volume of the television to a preset value and simultaneously starting a second timer if any control signal is not received in the timing time of the first timer; judging whether any control signal of the remote control is received or not in the timing time of the second timer; entering into the standby state and simultaneously starting a third timer if any control signal is not received in the timing time of the second timer; judging whether any control signal of the remote control is received or not in the timing time of the third timer; and automatically shutting down the television if any control signal is not received in the timing time of the third timer. The method of the invention could be used for automatically shutting down the television under the condition that a user does not control the television for a long time.
