RV Fractional Area Change at 6 Months But Not at Pre-Implant Is Associated with Late Indices of Functional Capacity and Renal Function: A Case for the Importance of Late RV Dysfunction in Long Term MCS
2014
s S239 TVR had higher rates of RVF even when grouped according to TA dilation status (log-rank p< 0.0001). In-hospital mortality did not differ according to TA/TR or TVR status. Conclusion: TA dilation seems to be a stronger predictor of RVF post LVAD implant than significant TR. The potential benefit of concomitant TVR in selected patients submitted to LVAD implant remains to be determined.
