The invention discloses an intelligent router and an authentication management method based on the intelligent router. The method comprises the steps of sending a gateway broadcast to all slave machines in an intranet by a host machine in a target site by a certain frequency, wherein the gateway broadcast carries a hardware address of the host machine, and the host machine is network card equipment with the intelligent router; receiving data packages sent by the slave machines, and acquiring hardware addresses of the slave machines carried in the data packages; and judging whether the hardware addresses are recorded in a hardware address white list, if yes, forwarding the data packages of the slave machines to target websites carried in the data packages through the router, if not, determining a way to process the data packages according to a protocol type of the data packages. According to the intelligent router and the authentication management method based on the intelligent router, the host machine system and the intranet are safer and more efficient; in addition, router hardware is not purchased, so that the cost is saved.
