Study on a Countermeasure for Improving the Fatigue Durability of Ezisting Orthotropic Steel Deck Plates Using SFRC Pavement

Authors developed a new construction method using high durable epoxy resin for the joints between steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) and steel deck plates as a countermeasure for improving fatigue durability of highway bridge steel deck plates. In the highway in a city and national highway, results of strains measurement before and after the new construction method of the SFRC pavement showed the remarkable effect of reducing strains in the steel deck plates. In this report, typical construction examples are reviewed.
