Nonintrusive IR Sensor for Real-Time Measurements of Gas Turbine Inlet Temperature

2014
The chapter describes an innovative IR sensor properly conceived for real-time measurements of the gas turbine inlet temperature. The sensor is based on the measurements of the radiation emitted in a given wavelength band by the CO2 molecules present in the combustion gas. Experimental results relevant to laboratory tests aimed at characterizing the techniques will be presented.
