A branch joint box (60) comprising: a base plate (36); and a pair of connector coupling portions (38A, 38B; 39A, 39B) which are, respectively, formed on opposite faces (36a, 36b) of the base plate (36) so as to confront each other; the base plate (36) being formed with a plurality of insertion openings (41a-41n) for inserting therethrough bus bars (32) each including an elongated base portion (48a) and at least one pair of tabs (48b, 48c) extending from opposite sides of the base portion (48a), respectively; the insertion openings (41a-41n) extending through the base plate (36) so as to communicate the connector coupling portions (38A, 38B; 39A, 39B) with each other; wherein the bus bars (32) are secured in the insertion openings (41a-41n), respectively such that the tabs (48b, 48c) project into the connector coupling portions (38A, 38B; 39A, 39B), respectively. A blank (fig. 18) may be cut in various ways to form various configurations.
