Historical and future role and activities of an interstate pipeline

1987
A discussion detailing how a major interstate pipeline company has purchased and marketed natural gas, and the post-contractual relationships with its customers and producers will be presented. Also presented is a description of a pipeline company's financial needs and the perception of how these needs can be met in the new market place. New contracts are being offered for new gas reserves with clauses for take-or-pay, pipeline access, and gathering commitments that require a new definition for the economic viability of a geologic prospect.
