Bandwidth-Constrained QoS Routing in MANET

2020
A standout among the most cutting edge innovation patterns of the previous decade is the accessibility and developing need of a ubiquitous network. The idea remains to access various services, such as emails, messages, voice mail, web, etc. without having to rely on location. Hence, the growing needs for wireless network communication is never stopping. The success, reliability and efficiency of network communications are determined by the effectiveness of the routing protocols employed. The efficient protocol is responsible for finding an optimal route for various cases to enhance the network performance. The performance evaluation of routing protocols can be determined by considering numerous factors that can possibly dictate the efficiency of the protocols, such as delays in connectivity, loading, traffic, quality of service (QoS), etc. Several researches have been made previously to determine the factors for the evaluation of the performance of routing the protocols in an ad hoc network. Nevertheless, the achieved results were still insufficient, and furthermore, there is requirement for more data pertaining to comparative study of various protocols. This paper determines various performance issues that a routing protocol comes across and then analyzes the selected routing protocol in relation to selected performance parameters for various network conditions. With the help of information on the available bandwidth, the packets in the queue can be forwarded on the basis of priority from source to destination. These approaches are designed to lower the computational overhead and decrease the end to end delay.
